Cavalor Inc. is an American-Belgian international equine premium feed and supplements company.
Nutriquine NV, inspirer and founder of the internationally known Cavalor brand of high quality
Equestrian feed and Equestrian supplements, has been successfully active in the USA for three years
now, through its subsidiary Cavalor Inc.
Last year, Mr. Michael Pollard, an international eventing horseman, joined Cavalor Inc.
Recently Nutriquine NV, the local partner Mr. Pollard, and Versele-Laga NV joined forces and have decided
to establish in the short term a production unit for horse feeds in Dalton (Georgia).
Thanks to the synergy of the technological know-how, nutritional expertise and marketing knowledge, the three
partners aspire to firmly position the Cavalor products in the USA and to develop their presence durably.
For the start-up of our USA production facilities in Dalton (GA) we are currently looking
to recruit a dynamic and enthusiast Operations Manager (m / f).
Your function
• You assist the external contractors with the set-up of a production unit of which you become responsible afterwards.
• After an intensive local and international training and during a guided work-in period:
- You will recruit your people and train them on the spot.
- You coach and motivate them by shaping a solid team for an optimal production and customer service.
• As Operations Manager you are responsible for the planning, purchase, production, quality surveillance, logistics
and technical service of our production plant and warehouse facilities.
• You cooperate with our departments, Sales & Marketing, Administration & Accountancy.
• Ad hoc tasks as given by the Daily Management.
• You report to the Daily Management and to the Board of Directors.
Your profile
• You have a bachelor degree in electro-production-techniques, or a similar or higher degree.
• Your additional skills in administration and/or general management are very welcome and give you an extra trump.
• You have good communication and negotiation skills.
• You are fluent in English.
• You have minimum three years experience in a leading (responsible) function; by preference you were working
in the food- or agro-manufacturing industry.
• You are a pragmatic all-rounder, hands-on and a born leader.
• Nine to Five is not your piece of cake, as you are flexible and available for your job whenever required.
• Quality governance and production-efficiency are your standards.
• You have a basic knowledge of animal nutrition or you are interested in it and willing to acquire such a knowledge
in the short term.
