Jos Lansink: winner of the GP at the final of the Rolex IJRC Top Ten, Paris
Published: 12-14-2009 After the victory of the number 1 Marcus Ehning on Friday night in the final of the Rolex IJRC Top ten, Paris could celebrate the Belgian World Champion Jos Lansink as winner of the Grand Prix Gucci.
JosLansink and Valentina van ‘t Heike was one of the nine riders that qualified for the jump off on a very delicate and difficult course designed by the American Conrad Homfeld. Several great riders didn’t finish the course without penalties like the winner of the Rolex Top Ten final Marcus Ehning, (13 pts. with Leconte), Albert Zoer (8 pts with Okidoki), Edwina Alexander (4 pts with Itôt du Chateau), Michel Robert (8 pts with Kellemoi de Pepita) Marco Kutscher (eliminated with Cornet Obolensky) and European champion Kevin Staut (8 pts with Kraque Boom).
In a very demanding jump off, the Belgian world champion, was the fast clear with his chestnut mare, a daughter of Nabab de Rève. The Irish Denis Lynch and All Inclusive NRW finished second and another Belgian rider Philipp Lejeune on Vigod’Arsouilles took the third place.
